Who is the Client?

Qoola is a constantly growing frozen yogurt chain with a passion for the environment and health. It already has 9 stores worldwide, with many more to come. I previously worked as a team member of Qoola, but later changed roles as strictly a graphic designer. The work I have done for them was mostly on display at their most busy and popular Metrotown and Oakridge Mall stores.

Their website can be found here.

What did I do for Qoola?

Having closely worked with the owner of Qoola, and store managers, I was able to get a feel of how they wanted to run the store visually. Through many iterations of designs, I was able to develop stronger interpersonal communication skills, and the communicating and justifying of my designs were extremely necessary and were frequently practiced.

Outcome?

My designs created visually stronger and more attractive storefronts, which were able to capture and keep the attention of potential customers. The other signages that I designed regulated the store operations, and I was able to develop stronger technical skills with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Illustrator, and ultimately improved knowledge of working in the constraints of a name brand. Qoola's visual identity was well-established after my 'reign' as graphic designer. Unfortunately, they recently took a whole new (disappointing) approach to its visual identity, away from my clean, simple, and fresh direction.
